LENS - Lutheran Earthkeeping Network of the Synods

LENS is thrilled to welcome Mary Minette,
as the new Director for Environmental Education and Advocacy for The ELCA’s Washington Office!

Mary comes to this position with over twelve years of experience as a federal lobbyist on environmental issues, having previously worked as a Vice President of the Earth Day Network, as Legislative Director of the League of Conservation Voters and as the Director of the Endangered Species Campaign of the National Audubon Society. She is a lawyer, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Stanford University, a law degree from University of California, Los Angeles, and is a member of the California and District of Columbia bars. In addition, Mary and her husband attend Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Falls Church, Virginia.

We are so thankful for Mary’s addition to the staff and look forward to the ways that she will promote our environmental and rural advocacy positions in Washington.
