November 3
Churches' Center for Land and People
Harvest of Hope Winter Farmers Market
St. Benedict's Church, Chicago, IL
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Harvest of Hope winter farmers market program organized by the non profit Churches' Center for Land and People is starting up for the winter Saturday November 3rd! Come support local farmers, who could use some extra income during the colder months when outdoor markets aren't possible. Also, all farmers at each market donate 10% of their profit to a farm charity that helps struggling farmers facing bankrupcy.  Your purchases help!

The first one this Saturday is at St. Benedict's Church at 2215 W Irving Park Rd, just west of the Brown Line and near the Damen bus (#50).  CCLP, St. Ben's, and certainly the farmers would love to see your support...and it will be fun!

Meat producers Twin Oak Meats, who do chemical-free meat production at a nearby family farm, are hoping to get meat orders before this Saturday to make the trip worth their while.  If you'd like to order meat for the holidays, they've got what you need.  Go to the website, or give them a call to let you know if you're wanting meat: www.twinoakmeats.com/

Products at this Saturday's market: woolen goods, honey, syrups, fruit preserves, salsa, tomato sauces, dried fruit, frozen cider, goat milk soap, and most likely some late fall produce.

Be sure to visit www.cclpmidwest.org/harvestofhopesales.html for the rest of this winter's schedule.
